Maria Marinou was born in Athens, Greece, in 1986.

The University of Sheffield – MA Cultural Materials (Material Culture studies) Taught Masters focussing on archaeological material analysis and cultural materials theory and culminating in an extensive original experimental research project.

2007-2012

Athens School of Fine Arts – BFA/MFA (Distinction) 8.87/10 Five-year study with a focus on painting and specialising in Didactics of History of Art.

2015

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens – Two-month course in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management.

2004-2007

Grigoris Kolizeras Drawing and Painting Studio – Intensive three-year study in the fundamentals of academic classical drawing and painting, composition, and colour theory.
